Super Bowl Sunday STOP-DWI Campaign - Rockland County DWI Attorney

The New York State Police report that on February 1, 2015, Troopers issued 1,390 tickets during the Super Bowl Sunday STOP-DWI enforcement period.

"The campaign began at noon on February 1st, 2015 and continued until midnight. During this STOP-DWI campaign, the New York State Police increased patrols and conducted sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify and arrest impaired drivers."

During this 12-hour campaign, 31 people were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Additionally, tickets were also issued for the following offenses: Speed (408), Distracted Driving – cell phone use/texting (39), Seatbelt (55) and Move Over Law (16).

In Rockland County, the New York State Police make arrests and issue tickets on the New York State Thruway, Palisades Interstate Parkway and other local and State roads.
